Camels and Dromedaries belong to the even toed ungulate and live in Africa while some species live in South America. Even in Australia there are wild camels, but those were initially introduced by humans. Especially in desert regions Camels are important packing and riding animals. Nowadays more and more motorized vehicles take their place, but nonetheless the camel is still an important and popular animal. This also can be seen on the many postcards the camel is displayed on and that enthusiasts love to collect.
