Im Bundesland Brandenburg im Landkreis Oder-Spree liegt die amtsangehörige Gemeinde Bad Saarow. Aufgrund der Vereinigung mit Pieskow heißt der Ort seit 1907 Saarow-Peskow und den Titel „Bad“ trägt er seit 1923. In den „Goldenen Zwanzigern“ entwickelte sich die Gemeinde zu einem Treffpunkt und bevorzugten Erholungsort der Berliner Film- und Kulturszene. Unter anderem kauften Harry Liedtke und Max Schmeling in Bad Saarow-Pieskow Seegrundstücke und Anwesen. Wenige Tage nach der Besetzung des Ortes durch die Rote Armee am 25. April 1945 ermordeten Rotarmisten den Schauspieler Harry Liedtke. Die staatliche unbefristete Anerkennung als Heilbad bekam Bad Saarow-Pieskow im Jahr 1998.
Seit dem 1. Dezember 2002 heißt die Gemeinde wieder Bad Saarow. Sehenswürdigkeiten im Ort sind zum Beispiel der Kurpark, das ehemalige Haus des russischen Schriftstellers Maxim Gorki und der KUNSTraum – eine Galerie die wechselnde Ausstellungen zeigt. Postkarten mit Aufnahmen von alten Gebäuden der Gemeinde sind zum Sammeln erhältlich.
